PURPOSE: A radar system and a method for determining an error thereof are provided to check whether a signal has an error or not by loop-backing the signal transferred in the radar system to a receiving device. CONSTITUTION: An optical cable(130) interlinks a signal processing unit(110) and a transceiver(140) and transfers data. The signal processing unit grasps the state of a specific region or an object by analyzing measuring data in regard to a target including an RF signal. The transceiver forms a loop back path diverting a transmission signal. The transmission signal is transmitted from digital control assembly(141) and is delivered to an antenna device(160). The transceiver transmits the transmission signal to the digital control assembly through a switch in the state that the transmission signal is not delivered to the antenna device.
