FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing an intermediate product in the synthesis of isoprene - 4,4-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane (DMD). The method is realised in a one-, two- or three-reactor unit using acids as a catalyst with subsequent separation of the reaction mass into oily and aqueous layers and recycling the aqueous layer through a vacuum stripping unit and extraction, into which fresh acids are also fed for replenishment, extraction of dimethyl dioxane, unsaturated alcohol at 130C, trimethyl carbinol etc, back to the reactor unit, wherein the reaction mass at the output of the reactor unit is cooled to temperature 50-60C and fed into a column fitted in the bottom part of a mixing-distribution device, wherein the dwell time thereof in the column most be about 30 minutes, after which that reaction mass is fed for separation into oily and aqueous layers. ^ EFFECT: method enables to reduce loss of starting hydrocarbons and acids, and also reduce consumption of energy resources. ^ 2 cl, 8 tbl, 4 ex, 1 dwg |
