FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a plurality of opaque pigment scales, wherein each of the opaque scales has the same selected shape and symbol and has thickness of less than 10 microns. Such pigment scales, having one or more symbols and selected shape, are used in compositions such as printing paint or ink, for providing a concealed protective feature for an object.
