METHOD FOR SELECTING TREATMENT APPROACH FOR THERAPY OF ESSENTIAL ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION

A method for selecting the treatment approach for the therapy of the essential arterial hypertension comprises ECG and assessment of the heart rhythm variability with spectral analysis. 24-hour monitoring of ECG and arterial blood pressure is provided with the calculation of R-R interval variability and the spectral analysis of the heart rhythm variability determining the ratio between the output of low and high frequencies of spectrum. The increase in LF/HF ratio more than 2.5-fold is suggestive for the use of beta-adrenoblockers.
