<p>A scarifier is provided with a floating axle 16 which allows the head 22 of the unit to follow the contour of the to-be-ground surface. The floating axle 16 will allow the two large outboard wheels 46 to guide the unit, but still maintain pressure on the smaller guide wheels 50.
