<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device that can irradiate both in front and in the rear with light, simplify its structure and reduce cost. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device includes a base 11, an LED 12 mounted on the base 11, and a lens 13 forming a recessed part 13A which surrounds the front of a light-emitting surface 12A of the LED 12.
