<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a more natural image with an improved dynamic range without causing a significant increase in a hardware scale. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing unit 300 comprises: a tone conversion characteristic derivation unit 310 that sets reference image data from among plural pieces of input image data with different exposures obtained by photographing a single subject, and derives a tone conversion characteristic from the reference image data; and an image composition processing unit 320 that derives a new pixel value for each pixel using pixel values in one or plural pieces of input image data selected from among the plural pieces of input image data based on the tone conversion characteristic derived by the tone conversion characteristic derivation unit 310, thereby generating composite image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
