<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of improving both front brightness and contrast with a simpler structure. <P>SOLUTION: An optical sheet includes a wavelength filter layer, and the wavelength filter layer includes a light absorbing layer including an adhesive and having a wavelength filter function to absorb light of a part of a wavelength region of visible light for attenuating the light quantity and a light transmitting layer disposed to be closer to an observer side than the light absorbing layer, forming an interface with the light absorbing layer and transmitting light. The light transmitting layer includes a plurality of unit light transmitting projections projecting toward the light absorbing layer and arranged along a vertical direction. Each unit light transmitting projection has a first face corresponding to an upper face inclined by an angle θ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>against a normal direction of a sheet surface on the observer side of the optical sheet and a second face corresponding to a lower face inclined by an angle θ<SB POS="POST">2</SB>against the normal direction, the angle θ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>is smaller than the angle θ<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and each unit light transmitting projection has the same refractive index as the light absorbing layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
