<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope control device and a microscope control method that allow shortening of time to switch units of a turret drive system in continuous imaging of high-speed imaging and fluorescent observations in plural wavelengths. <P>SOLUTION: A microscope control device for controlling an optical microscope including a disk-like turret allowing N pieces (N is an integer of 3 or larger) of optical elements to be mounted and turret drive means for rotary-driving the turret in the circumferential direction performs: selecting three to M pieces (M is an integer equal to or less than N) of optical elements arranged on the optical path from among the N pieces of optical elements; determining a sequence of the selected three to M pieces of the optical elements to be arranged on the optical path so as to minimize the total drive time of rotary-driving the turret with the turret drive means; and controlling the turret drive means so as to rotary-drive the turret in the determined sequence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
