<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vortex flowmeter and a method for detecting an installation state capable of identifying a case where there is abnormality in the installation state in a pipe. <P>SOLUTION: A vortex flowmeter 1 includes: a vortex generating body 3 that generates vortex in liquid circulating in a channel 2a; a bypass channel that generates alternate flow in the inside by the vortex; and a flow sensor that is provided in the bypass channel for detecting the alternate flow; and is installed in a pipe 100 in which the liquid flows. The vortex flowmeter 1 further includes a central control unit that determines whether or not there is abnormality in the installation state thereof in a pipe 100 based on the number of times when the period of the alternate flow detected by the flow sensor is changed in a predetermined period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
