The embodiments of the present invention provide a method for dispatching Central Processing Unit (CPU) of a hotspot domain Virtual Machine (VM) and a VM system. Each virtual CPU (vCPU) of the hotspot domain VM respectively binds with different physical CPU. The method comprises: according to the obtained vCPU utilization information of the hotspot domain VM, determining the general vCPU utilization ratio of the hotspot domain VM; according to the general vCPU utilization ratio and the maximum number of the vCPUs allocated to the hotspot domain VM, determining to increase or decrease at least one online vCPU for the hotspot domain VM; after increasing the online vCPU, adjusting the vCPU of a common domain VM which is on the running queue of the physical CPU binding with the online vCPU, thus ensuring that the online vCPU of the hotspot domain VM can be dispatched on the physical CPU, and the vCPU of the common domain VM can not be dispatched on the physical CPU; after decreasing the online vCPU, adjusting the vCPU of the hotspot domain VM which is on the running queue of the physical CPU binding with the offline vCPU, thus ensuring that the vCPU of the common domain VM can be dispatched on the physical CPU. |
