<p>A money processing device (10) comprises a receiving slot (21) for receiving multiple types of money of different currencies and taking the received money into the main body of the device, a plurality of discharge slots (23, 24, 25), and a controller (40) for controlling a conveyor (31) so that money from the conveyor (31) to the discharge slots (23, 24, 25) is sorted on the basis of money identification results from an identifying part (32). The controller (40) determines whether or not the currency types of money identified by the identifying part (32) have been allotted to any of the plurality of discharge slots (23, 24, 25); and performs control so that when any have been allotted, the money is conveyed to the discharge slots (23, 24, 25), and when the currency types of money identified by the identifying part (32) have not been allotted to any of the plurality of discharge slots (23, 24, 25) or there is a discharge slot to which no currency type has been allotted, a currency type is allotted to the discharge slot and the money is conveyed to that discharge slot.</p> |
