PURPOSE: A buoyant for cultivation of seaweeds is provided to prevent foreign materials from being attached to the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION: A buoyant for cultivation of seaweeds is made of a foam plastic form material with an average cell size of 100-200, density of 30-45k/m^3, and heat conductivity of 25-40mW/mK by mixing thermoplastic polymer with foaming agent. The thermoplastic polymer is selected from polystyrene, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinylchloride, and polyurethane. The foaming agent is selected from HFC-type foaming agent or HCFC- type foaming agent, or the mixture thereof.
