<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide video display equipment and a program, etc., for achieving smooth and natural communication with the outside. <P>SOLUTION: The video display equipment includes: a first video acquisition unit 11 for acquiring a first video image; a second video acquisition unit 12 for acquiring a second video image generated on the basis of a picked-up image from an imaging unit or communication information from a communication unit; a processing unit 16; and a display unit 15. The processing unit 16 includes a video display mode determination unit 13 for determining whether a video display mode is a view mode or a communication mode for communicating with other video display equipment different from the video display equipment itself.
