<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlash measuring method capable of easily measuring a backlash between gears assembled in a gear case without requiring any special experience and skill. <P>SOLUTION: A method of measuring a backlash between a first gear which is coupled to a first transmission shaft supported by a gear case, and a second gear which is coupled to or can be coupled to a second transmission shaft supported by the gear case, executes a first step for holding the gear case 1 at a predetermined position of a work holding body 40; a second step for normally rotating the first transmission shaft 3; a third step for stopping the normal rotation while suppressing the inertial rotation of the first transmission shaft 3; a forth step for reversely rotating the first transmission shaft 3 while loading on second gears 17 and 18, and detecting the rotation state of the first transmission shaft 3 by rotation state sensors 99 and 107; and a fifth step for computing a backlash value on the basis of detection signals of the rotation state sensors 99 and 107, by an electronic control unit 46. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
