<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply electromagnetic braking to a diaphragm, of a ribbon microphone, which is made of a metal ribbon foil, with no use of a special output connector, to protect the diaphragm from impact. <P>SOLUTION: The ribbon microphone includes an acoustic electric converter 1 that contains a diaphragm consisting of a pair of permanent magnets forming a parallel magnetic field and a metal ribbon foil that is arranged in the parallel magnetic field and is vibrated by an incoming sound wave, and a step-up transformer 110 that contains an output connector 120 of which the diaphragm is connected to a primary winding 111 side and a phantom power supply is detachably connected to a secondary winding 112 side. The ribbon microphone operates on the phantom power supply in which an electromotive voltage that is generated by the diaphragm is boosted to a predetermined value by the step-up transformer 110, and is output to the phantom power supply side by way of the output connector 120. Between both ends of the secondary winding 112, a switch 141 is connected that is normally-closed type and is opened by the electric power supplied from the phantom power supply. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
