An interest estimation device (100), which estimates a user's interest in a video which is displayed upon a screen, comprises: a line of vision detection unit (101) which detects the direction of the user's line of vision; a conspicuousness information acquisition unit (102) which acquires conspicuousness information relating to a conspicuous region which is a region within the video which is conspicuously attractive to the eye; and a user reaction analysis unit (103) which computes a correlation between the conspicuous region which is identified from the acquired conspicuousness information and the detected line of vision direction, and estimates the user's interest in the video such that the greater the computed correlation, the greater the interest.
