The present invention relates to a credit card approval system and to a method for same. The credit card approval system includes: a prediction management server for registering and managing a credit card which is likely to be used overseas and a credit card which is able to be used overseas, based on the credit card user's usage pattern; an approval server for determining whether a first credit card corresponds to a credit card registered in an information management server when a first approval request on the first credit card is transmitted from overseas; an SMS transmitting device for transmitting a text message to the first credit card user's portable terminal by using the main phone number as the caller phone number if the first credit card is not a credit card registered in the information management server; and an input device for user confirmation for receiving the user's confirmation of the text message. When the user confirmation is transmitted through the input device for user confirmation, the approval server registers the first credit card in the prediction management server. |
