<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition excellent in discharge accuracy and capable of improving the glossiness of a printed material, and to provide an inkjet recording ink. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition contains a compound being a first coloring material and represented by general formula (Y), and an organic monophosphonic acid.
