<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range extender that controls an output of a generator without using a power controller, such as a converter or a chopper. <P>SOLUTION: The range extender drives a gas turbine GT to operate the generator and supplies the output of the generator to a driving system of a vehicle.
