<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyboard instrument such that a keyboard cover serves as a stand and the whole musical instrument is packaged compactly. <P>SOLUTION: A keyboard cover 2 which is detachably arranged on a keyboard part 3 built in a musical instrument body 1 in a manner that a plurality of white keys 4 and a plurality of black keys 5 are arrayed thereon, and covers the keyboard 3 is divided in two into first and second cover parts 2a and 2b at an intermediate part in the key array direction of the keyboard part 3, and the first and second cover parts 2a and 2b which are two divisions are provided with a plurality of key insertion holes 10, into which the plurality of black keys 5 of the keyboard part 3 are inserted, respectively, corresponding to the plurality of black keys 5. Therefore, when the keyboard instrument is carried, the keyboard cover 2 is arranged on the keyboard part 3 to cover and protect the pluralities of white keys 4 and black keys 5, and when the keyboard instrument is used, the keyboard cover 2 which is divided in two is attached to both sides of the musical instrument body 1 and used as the stand.
