<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation in picture quality in terms of human visual sensitivity, by suppressing nonuniformity in resolution that is optically or electrically caused. <P>SOLUTION: In the image projection system of the present invention, an image is outputted through a lens and is projected on a projection surface. In the case where resolutions in respective regions of the image projected on the projection surface are not uniform among the regions, each of the resolutions in the regions of the image are corrected based on the inverse characteristic of optical characteristic of the lens, and then the image is projected on the projection surface. In the case where the resolution of one region is lower than the resolution in another region of the image that has been projected because the image is so projected as not to distort the shape of the image on the projection surface, a degraded image is projected such that the resolution of the other region comes to be almost equal to the resolution of the one region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
