<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat capable of: stably supporting a back of an occupant; and making also a portion from the back to a hip of the occupant sink deeply when impact load is applied from a vehicle rear side, without complicating a structure of the vehicle seat and thickening a seat back. <P>SOLUTION: A U-shaped curved part 15b and crooked locking parts 15d, 15c are arranged on a wire member 15 for connecting a supporting plate 10 to a seat back frame. First and second projections 17, 18 which are engaged with the crooked locking part 15d, 15c of the wire member 15 to restrict the displacement of the U-shaped curved part 15b, are arranged on the supporting plate 10. When an impact is input from the rear side of the vehicle and a backward load equal to or higher than a predetermined value is applied on the supporting plate 10 from the occupant, the crooked locking parts 15c get over the second projections 18 and the U-shaped curved part 15b is stretched.
