<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of accurately evaluating a defect size in a piping inspection using a guide wave, by correcting a change of signal reception sensitivity for every installation of a sensor without installing a new reference reflection member. <P>SOLUTION: The piping inspection consists of: a first step for setting a cross-sectional shape of a weld part of a measurement objective circular cylindrical structure to obtain a first reflectance depending on a guide wave frequency; a second step for obtaining a first attenuation signal from a plurality of reflection wave signals appeared at a position of the weld part of the circular cylindrical structure; a third step for setting a second reflectance to be measured as defect to obtain a second attenuation signal by correcting the first reflectance; a fourth step for installing the sensor to transmit/receive the guide wave; a fifth step for recognizing the defect from a size of reflection wave obtained by the fourth step and the second attenuation signal, and also obtaining a third reflectance at that time; and a sixth step for obtaining a size of defect from the third reflectance of the fifth step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
