<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for preventing an inner column from slipping out of an outer column, even if a telescopic clamp of the inner column is released to the outer column, in a state before installing a vehicle body-installing bracket of the steering device in a vehicle body. <P>SOLUTION: Assembling work of the steering device is completed, and before shipping it to a vehicle body-assembling factory, the outer column 1 is slid in the axial direction to the inner column 2, so that axial directional positions of an engaging groove 84 and a bolt 85 are made coincident. Thereafter the outer column 1 is rotated in the counterclockwise direction to the inner column 2, and the bolt 85 is inserted to the vicinity of a closing end part of the engaging groove 84. Since the bolt 85 is fitted to the engaging groove 84, the outer column 1 and the upper-side vehicle body-installing bracket can be prevented from slipping out of the inner column 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
