<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight pendant cord as strong as a conventional wire rope pendant cord. <P>SOLUTION: A pendant cord 1 includes: a cylindrical body part; thimbles 10 each including a flange 12 having a diameter larger than the diameter of the cylindrical body part on both sides of the cylindrical body part; a carbon fiber strand 2 stretched over the peripheral surface of the cylindrical body part in each of the two thimbles 10 disposed at predetermined intervals; a polyester yarn 3 which bundles the carbon fiber strand 2 stretched between the two thimbles 10; and an urethane resin 4 that covers the surfaces of the carbon fiber strand 2 and the polyester yarn 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
