<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe information generation device capable of generating probe information which effectively includes information necessary to calculate a traffic index. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention is related to a probe information generation device 2 which generates probe information S3 on a vehicle 5 traveling on a road and sends the same to an outside. The device 2 is capable of storing the prove information S3 in a manner that enables the same to selectively include several kinds of events happening to the vehicle 5 while the same is traveling. The device 2: determines an independent stop to wait at a traffic light and repeated stops not to wait at the traffic light as separate events; generates the probe information S3 including a stop position for the independent stop; and generates the probe information S3 without including the stop positions for the repeated stops. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
