摘要 The present invention comprises the use of mixed oxide based catalysts containing at least lanthanum, nickel and oxygen in the reactions of steam reforming and oxidative reforming of alcohols at low temperature or a mixture of alcohols, such as bio-ethanol. The catalysts have a perovskite structure represented by Lai1-xMxNIO3, where x from 0.0 to 1.0 and M=elements of the group of alkaline earth metals or lanthanides. Hydrogen generated in the method of the invention can be used, among other applications, in a low temperature fuel cell as the PEM type.
