The backup system comprises longitudinally extended and tension transmitting main strand element (20) formed in the rotor blade and several elongate and tensile load transmitting auxiliary group elements (21,22) engaged with the main strand element. A stop device (50) is connected in the region of the rotor blade root (2). The main strand element and auxiliary group elements are connected with two-dimensional structures of the rotor blade at attachment points (33-36). The webs (11,12) or strap are formed in the rotor blade inner surface. |
