Disclosed are a centrifugal fan system and a setting method for centrifugal fans. The centrifugal fan system comprises a first centrifugal fan (21), a second centrifugal fan (22), and a fan frame (23), wherein the first centrifugal fan is arranged in the upper part of the fan frame and the second centrifugal fan is arranged in the lower part of the fan frame. The first and the second centrifugal fans are staggered up and down so that the height from the top of the first centrifugal fan to the bottom of the second centrifugal fan is less than the sum of the heights of the first and second centrifugal fans. The centrifugal fan system fully utilizes the characteristic of the centrifugal fans to partly overlap the heights of two centrifugal fans arranged within one fan frame, which accordingly decreases the height occupied by the fan frame in a chassis and improves the integrity of the chassis.
