The present invention provides an automatic analysis system that allows opening processing and closing processing of plug bodies of different specimen containers and is provided with a plug body conveying mechanism allowing management and supply of the plug bodies. This automatic analysis system that is provided with a conveyance mechanism conveying the specimen containers having plug bodies is provided with: a specimen dispensing mechanism that dispenses specimens housed in the specimen containers by a predetermined amount; a plug body opening/closing mechanism that dismounts the plug bodies of the specimen containers; a control unit that stores the correspondence relationship between the specimen containers and the plug bodies of the corresponding specimen containers; a plug body opening/closing mechanism that closes the plug bodies of the corresponding specimen containers again on the basis of the correspondence relationship stored in the control unit with respect to the specimen containers in which dispensing of the specimens in the specimen dispensing mechanism has completed; and the plug body conveying mechanism that conveys, to a closing position, the plug bodies dismounted at an opening position by the plug body opening/closing mechanism.
