<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking brake device having such a disk brake structure that thermal loose of parking brake force can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: A thermally deformable member 10 is arranged between parking cables 71, 72 used for connecting a parking lever 2 to brake calipers 3R, 3L. The thermally deformable member 10 is disposed near an exhaust pipe of a vehicle to expand when receiving engine heat from an engine and shrink when radiating heat. When the thermally deformable member 10 shrinks, a piston 4 is moved in such a direction that a brake pad 5 presses a disk rotor 6. Since the thermal expansion rate of the thermally deformable member 10 is larger than that of the brake pad 5, the shrinkage quantity by radiating heat from the thermally deformable member 10 becomes larger than that of the brake pad 5. As a result, the thermal loose of parking brake force can be compensated by the shrinkage of the thermally deformable member 10, to suppress the thermal loose of parking brake force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
