<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem on a breakwater reinforcing method that it is much expensive to develop the effects of breakwater blocks in a conventional breakwater reinforcing method and to use riprap for the reinforcing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the reinforcing method, an anchor 3 is installed on a water bottom 2 on the offshore side of a breakwater 1, the anchor 3 is connected to the breakwater 1 via a tensile material 4, a pressure receiving panel 5 is provided midway on the tensile material 4 so that downward force works thereon during the operation of waves, and a fixed member 6 provided on the offshore side water bottom between the anchor 3 and the breakwater 1 is connected to the pressure receiving panel 5 via a constraining material 7. The breakwater 1 is pulled to the offshore side with tension generated in the tensile material when the pressure receiving panel 5 receives the wave pressure of waves, to reinforce the resistance of the breakwater. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
