Provided is an imaging device which is capable of efficient use of memory in a configuration in which a portion of an image of a photographed subject omitted due to an obstruction is not restored using another image of the photographed subject. The CPU determines whether or not an image of an obstruction such as a finger (901) blocking the incidence of outside light on the first imaging element is included in the left-eye image data (801) and determines whether or not an image of an obstruction blocking the incidence of outside light on the second imaging element is included in the right-eye image data (802). When an image of an obstruction is included in the image data of one of the left-eye image data (801) and the right-eye image data (802) and an image of the obstruction is not included in the other image data, the CPU deletes the one image data from the RAM (16).
