<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material excellent in recording quality in a halftone region, thermal response, and uniformity of color optical density, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the heat-sensitive recording material and the method for manufacturing the same, the heat-sensitive recording material is made by sequentially stacking an intermediate layer and a heat-sensitive recording layer that develops color due to heat, on a support body. The intermediate layer contains a hollow resin having a shape of bellows, and smoothness of a coloring surface side which is measured by Parker Print Surf is 1.0 μm or less. The intermediate layer is formed by coating the support body with a coating liquid containing thermally expandable resin particles, then undergoing thermal expansion, and thereafter performing calendar processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
