<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter for a camera which can be stably operated, without generating an unstable gap. <P>SOLUTION: The shutter for the camera configured so that the opening position of a closed blade is set to a predetermined diaphragm value before a shutter operation is started, the exposure operation of the shutter is started by an exposure blade, and the closed blade is displaced to a closing position to complete the exposure operation includes a first main driving cam, a first main driving cam pawl, a closing member, a second main driving cam, a second main driving cam pawl, and an electromagnet. The second main driving cam pawl is displaced from a retreat position to an engagement position by the electromagnet controlled in conjunction with a shutter release operation and the exposure blade is operated to start the exposure operation by operating the first main driving cam pawl to release the first main driving cam.
