The method involves digitizing output signal of a preamplifier (2) by one or multiple analog to digital converters (3) and evaluating digitized signal. The digitized signal is compared with a threshold value such that it is determined over a time interval, whether an over control of the preamplifier is occurred over the time interval. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for measuring emissions.
