<p>The device (2) has an evaluation unit (3) determining parking operation of a vehicle (1) by evaluating one or more vehicle state variables. A communication unit (4) i.e. vehicle-to-vehicle communication unit, transmits information about the determined parking operation to road users. Interfaces (5-7) connect a sensor (8) e.g. acceleration sensor, a driver information system (10) and a parking assistance system (9) with the evaluation unit, respectively, for providing the vehicle state variables to the evaluation unit. The vehicle state variables comprise vehicle speed, acceleration of the vehicle, a turn signal position of the vehicle, a steering wheel position of the vehicle, a gear selector position of the vehicle, navigation data and/or Positional data provided by the driver information system, environment data provided by an environment sensor and/or driving condition data transmitted by road users to the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for transmitting driving situation information to road users during parking a vehicle.</p> |
