There is provided a device comprising a multipoint sensing surface and a gesture module. The multipoint sensing surface is for receiving inputs from one or more objects. The gesture module is configured to receive inputs from the multipoint sensing surface, and to match a gesture on the multipoint sensing surface to an action, the magnitude of the action determined by the number of contact points with which the gesture is made.
