PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-beam multiplexing circuit that has no requirement for fusing an optical fiber for connecting between an interferometer module and a PD (or Photo Detector) module, and that has little occurrence of loss of interference light, deterioration of an extinction ratio, and brightness and darkness of interference fringes caused by angle deviation and/or optical axis misalignment.
SOLUTION: In a two-beam multiplexing circuit, two luminous fluxes interfering each other are multiplexed, and an electrical signal according to the intensity of light is output from a photodetector. The two-beam multiplexing circuit includes: a condensing lens for condensing the two luminous fluxes interfering each other; an optical waveguide for multiplexing the two luminous fluxes condensed by the condensing lens by making them incident on one end thereof; and a photodetector on which emitted light from the other end of the optical waveguide is perpendicularly made incident.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
