<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine and a washing and drying machine, in which the washing capacity can be increased without greatly altering manufacturing facilities. <P>SOLUTION: The washing machine or the washing and drying machine comprises: a washing inner tub that rotates; and an outer tub having the washing inner tub placed therein, for storing washing water. The washing inner tub has: a body obtained by cylindrically forming a steel plate including a stainless steel plate; a rear side bottom plate provided on a rear end side of the body, and formed of a steel plate including a stainless steel plate; and an annular balance ring provided on a front end side of the body. The body has: small-diameter portions formed by reducing in diameter on the rear end side and the front end side of the body; and large-diameter portions formed by increasing in diameter larger than the small-diameter portions, on the rear end side and in an intermediate portion existing between both small-diameter portions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
