<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnosis device for diagnosing the failure of each component without giving the influence of any error generated in the case of specifying a failure to a partition under operation, and without making it necessary to provide any component exclusive for diagnosis. <P>SOLUTION: This failure detection device includes: constitution information storage means for storing a plurality of constitution information expressing the operable constitution of a partition; error analysis means for specifying a suspicious component included in a partition under operation; cutting procedure generation means for reading the constitution information of the partition including the suspicious component and excluding any component other than the suspicious component or empty component from constitution information storage means; constitution control means for generating a test partition consisting of the component included in the read constitution information; and cutting execution means for determining the presence/absence of the failure of the suspicious component on the basis of the presence/absence of the generation of any error in the case of operating the test partition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
