PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the molding accuracy of a low-profile, flat-shaped case.

SOLUTION: A capacitor case (2) used for housing a capacitor element (82) is a bottomed cylindrical body (29) having a sidewall part (4) and a bottom face part (6) molded by extrusion from slugs (slugs 28A, 28B) punched out of a plate-like molding material. The short side portion of the sidewall part and the bottom face part is 1/2 of the long side portion or less, and a portion where the sidewall part rises from the bottom face part is a curved surface, with a circuit-like salient (14) provided at corners formed by the inner bottom face of the bottomed cylindrical body and at least the sidewall part of the long side portion.
