CASTING DIE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DIE HEAD, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a widened die head body with a DLC layer while inhibiting a warp.

SOLUTION: A casting die provided with a flow passage for flow of a dope includes a die body. The inlet of the flow passage is opened in the upper part of the die body. The outlet of the flow passage is opened in the downward end of the die body. The die body has a pair of side plates and a pair of lip plates. The flow passage is enclosed by the pair of side plates and the pair of lip plates. The lip plate is formed of a lip plate body which is a component member of the inlet of the flow passage and a die head 82 which is a component member of the outlet. The die head 82 can be fastened to the lip plate by bolts. The die head 82 is formed of the wedged die head body 85 and a DLC film 86 provided on the entire surface of the die head body 85. The DLC film 86 is provided on the die head body 85 by an ion deposition method.
