<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image picking-up apparatus for an endoscope with a simple structure capable of flexibly changing light distribution characteristics in accordance with the shape of an object. <P>SOLUTION: The image picking-up apparatus for an endoscope includes: a light irradiation section in which a plurality of illumination optical systems having respectively different light distribution characteristic radiate irradiating light from a light source to an observation target; a picking-up section for picking up an image while receiving light radiated from the observation target by radiation of the irradiating light; a shape detection section 54 for detecting the shape of the observation target from the picked up image; a light distributing control section 54 for adjusting light quantity of a plurality of illumination optical systems in accordance with the shape of the detected observation target. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
