<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error calculation method of measurement angle by a rotary encoder which allows the rotation angle of a rotator to be accurately detected. <P>SOLUTION: A rotator is caused to perform a coasting rotation and the pulse train of a pulse output from pulse output means is recorded, the pulse output means outputting a pulse corresponding to rotation of the rotator. Then, a function approximation is performed with a rotation angle corresponding to the pulse as function of time. Then, based on the function approximation, an error in positions with respect to rotation angles of individual pulses in the pulse is calculated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
