<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake roller for a conveyor, which can generate sufficient braking force and is made compact. <P>SOLUTION: The brake roller for the conveyor includes: a cylindrical roller cylinder 11; a shaft 12 arranged in the axial center part of the roller cylinder in order to support the rotation of the roller cylinder; a planetary gear mechanism 13 which is arranged inside the roller cylinder and accelerates the speed thereof, while using rotational force of the roller cylinder as an input; a brake member 15 including a brake shoe 54 which is arranged inside the roller cylinder to be rotated around the shaft and which is moved outward in the radial direction by centrifugal force by the rotation thereof; a clutch member 14; and a brake drum part 52 which is arranged on the inner peripheral surface side of the roller cylinder to be rotated integrally with the roller cylinder and which is abutted on the brake shoe, when the brake shoe is moved outward in the radial direction to generate braking force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
