<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent even a workpiece having light weight from being stopped on a conveyor using a brake roller. <P>SOLUTION: The conveyor is constituted so that the workpiece is conveyed by gravity on rollers arranged on a conveyor frame. At least one brake roller 4 is arranged as the rollers and an adjustment roller TR3 having a small-diameter roller 3c is arranged at least in the vicinity of the upstream side of the brake roller. The height position of the upper surface of the small-diameter roller 3c is adjusted variably by an elastic member 89 so that the upper surface thereof is located at the position higher than the upper surface of the brake roller, when the workpiece is not placed on the conveyor, and the upper surface thereof is lowered according to the gravity of the workpiece when the workpiece is placed thereon.
