<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulverizer which can pulverize a material by simple structure without the need of a pulverization medium or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The pulverizer has a hermetically sealed pulverizing chamber 11 and a crushing roller 20. In the hermetically sealed pulverizing chamber 11, a main part is formed of a rotary pulverizing cup 12 in which a material to be pulverized 1 is charged and a pulverizing chamber cover 28 which holds a packing 29 for maintaining air tightness when the pulverizing cup 12 rotates. The crushing roller 20 performs following rotation in contact with the peripheral wall inner surface 19 of the pulverizing cup 12.
