<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner that guides a user to spots which have not been cleaned yet so that the user can clean rooms thoroughly throughout the house without missing even a spot. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner 1 includes: a suction opening 26 capable of moving on a surface to be cleaned; a movement amount measuring part 35 for measuring a physical quantity based on which a movement amount of the suction opening 26 is calculated; a movement amount calculating part 71 for calculating the movement amount of the suction opening 26 from the measured result of the movement amount measuring unit 35; a passed area memorizing part 72 for memorizing, based on the calculation result by the movement amount calculating part 71, areas where the suction opening 26 has passed during the current cleaning session; an unpassed area identifying part 73 for identifying, based on the passed area of the suction opening 26 memorized in the passed area memorizing part 72, areas where the suction opening 26 has not passed during the current cleaning session; and a guide display 36 for guiding the user to the unpassed area identified by the unpassed area identifying part 73. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
